Christmas in "MY" town - Punta Gorda, Florida

As I watch the National Weather forecasts and see the freezing temperatures across most of the country, I can't help but want to tell folks about Christmas in Paradise! The name of our little town is actually Punta Gorda, FL, but it could be named Paradise. Our average temp for this time of year is in the eighties during the day and upper sixties during the night. No, we don't plan on a white Christmas each year, but we do know we will spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying our Florida lifestyle. Punta Gorda is a water community. So many residents enjoy sailing or boating this time of year when we have a nice breeze most days and big billowy fat whit clouds on a brilliant blue sky. The opportunities to enjoy outdoor living here are endless. Our downtown area is decked out for the Holidays with our 35 ft. City Christmas tree right in the center of downtown, and visible from the numerous sidewalk cafes and outdoor bars. This time of year downtown is busy with Christmas shoppers, and folks enjoying a nice lunch or starting "Happy Hour" a little early. So many of our residents know each other because of the lifestyle we enjoy here. Most are always downtown in the evenings or enjoying some of the many events we have right here on the harbor in downtown at our Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. Our downtown area consists of a square area of nine blocks right on our beautiful Charlotte Harbor. We have five marinas in the downtown area and many travel for a night out by boat. I can talk forever about "MY" town, but I would rather you come see it for yourself. Call me when you arrive and I will be happy to show you around. I can even sell you a waterfront home or condo if you decide to stay, and most folks do...........sooner or later!
